Dr. P was in the mood for ramen, and we didn’t want to drive too far.
We passed by Tampopo before and was curious about this ramen restaurant.
They weren’t too busy on Friday night. We were seated immediately.
Dr. P ordered the Tampopo Ramen with spicy broth plus spicy tuna roll set.
He loves the ramen and broth.
He said it was better than some of the Japanese ramen joints.
(This is a Korean owned restaurant.)
I also ordered the Tampopo Ramen with spicy broth, but with sesame chicken.
They forgot to add the cha-shu to my ramen.
I told the waiter, and they brought two pieces of cha-shu to the table right away.
The ramen, just like Dr. P said, was very flavorful and tasty.
The soup just had the right amount of spicy and quite addicting.
The ramen was cooked al-dente.
The sesame chicken was juicy and tender. Love it.
It also came with a side salad with sesame dressing.
The owner probably felt bad about messing up the order.
She was really nice and offered us free radish kimchi.
We really enjoyed the food at Tampopo.
Service was very friendly.
Will definitely return shortly to try their other dishes.
I am going to try their curry katsu rice next time!
