For our six year anniversary, Dr. P suggested a romantic French dinner.
But I was more in the mood for something Asian, something Japanese, something izakaya.
但是我更想吃亞洲菜… 日本菜… 居酒屋菜啊！
I read that Izakaya Takasei used to be Honda-Ya.
Not only the menu is almost the same as Honda-Ya, the food tastes just like Honda-Ya.
The inside the restaurant is very spacious.
The best part – no wait.
Dr. P ordered his favorite Yellowtail Jalapeno.
The yellowtail sashimi were thicker than the ones at Honda-Ya.
Dr. P said he actually likes the thinner cuts better.
公園先生點了他在居酒屋的最愛 – 辣椒黃尾魚生魚片，
Pork kimchi was a great dish.
Thin sliced pork stir-fried with spicy kimchi.
I can eat a whole bowl of rice with this dish.
From the description of the dish, we didn’t know Asari Garlic Butter was a soup.
The clams were juicy and big.
The soup had a strong garlic taste.
It was good but a bit on the heavy side.
Love the flavor of the yakisoba.
Kinoko Zosui is a simple porridge with egg and mushrooms.
It tastes hearty and reminds me of homemade food by mom.
Gotta have some yakitori at Izakaya.
Enjoyed everything except heart.
The heart was in tiny tiny pieces, which is a bit strange.
Black Sesame Ice Cream for dessert to end our meal.
We had a wonderful dinner at Izakaya Takasei.
Very glad to find this place close to our new home.
Happy 6 year anniversary!! ❤️
