Last time he had this dish at Honda-Ya, the jalapeno was super spicy.
This time it wasn’t spicy at all.
He said he actually prefers the spicy version more.

The first item we picked was sesame chicken.
Big pieces of juicy tender chicken fried to golden perfection.
The side potato salad was delicious as well.
The second item we picked was Ginger Pork.
Thin slices of pork was stir-fried with bean sprouts, onion and chives.
It was light and flavorful, perfect with rice.
You can also add on unlimited vegetable side dishes to the dinner plate for $0.95 each.
We picked Ohitashi – blanched spinach with bonito flakes.
It was refreshing and healthy.
We always order Galbi at Honda-Ya.
It’s the Japanese version of the Korean BBQ short rib Kalbi.
The flavor is a little different, stronger and less sweet.
I can eat half a bowl of rice just with one piece. So good.
Yaki Soba is really tasty, but a bit on the oily side.
There were pork, bean sprouts, and cabbage with the noodle.
We finished the meal with lychee ice cream.
There are pieces of lychee jelly in the ice cream. Yum!
Honda-Ya has new menu. The got rid of a few items.
Adjusted the price a little. The food is still delicious, and service is still great.
We really like this izakaya restaurant!
