Tommy’s sushi has hand’s down the best poke bowl in Orange County!
We tried poki bowls from many many place, and still like Tommy’s the most.
We haven’t been to Tommy’s for about 3 months.
Now they have a brand new menu.
Poki bowl is still there, but they got rid of all the dinner combos.
Now they have the standard 2 or 3 items dinner combo, as well as omakase sushi.
Always gotta get the classic Poki Bowl at Tommy’s.
Big chunks of tuna, salmon, albacore,
with octopus, avocado, cucumber and crab salad over sushi rice.
Remember to request the special hot sauce from the waitress to go with the Poki Bowl.
We also got a Tommy’s Combo to share.
You can choose two items out of 9 choices.
We picked beef teriyaki and salmon cheek.
The combo also comes with miso soup, rice, salad, vegetable egg roll and sesame chicken.
The salmon cheek was fatty and tasty.
It tasted delicious withe ponzu sauce.
Beef teriyaki was slightly overcooked so not as tender as we like.
A lot of food in this combo and we got really full.
We also got a California roll.
I wish there was more avocado in the roll.
They got rid of a few of our old favorites from the menu.
We would still come back for their poki bowl for sure.
But we are not too excited about their new menu though.
