Dr. P has never been to Downtown Disney.
I wanted to have a date night there so we can walk around and have some Disney fun!
There are quite a few dining choices in Downtown Disney.
We decided to try Catal Restaurant because the rave reviews on their paella.
We made reservation at 5:30pm.
And opted to sit on the outside balcony.
I read that at later seating, you can see Disney fireworks from here.
Catal has happy hour daily from 4-6pm.
Perfect. We will start with some cocktails and wines.
All happy hour drinks are priced at $7.
The cocktails here were tasty, but pretty weak.
We figured probably because we were at Downtown Disney,
and they don’t want people to get drunk there?!
We also ordered Calamari from the Happy Hour menu.
It was fried, but not oily at all.
The lemon dill sauce was great.
There are a few different types of paella guests can choose from on the menu.
We ordered the traditional paella with seafood, chicken, and chorizo.
Lots of fresh shrimp, mussels and clams.
Chicken was very juicy and tender.
The flavor of the saffron rice was delicious.
The only this was we wish portion was bigger.
I absolutely love this dish – Crispy Suckling Pig!
A big piece of pork with crispy skin on the outside and soft juicy stewed pork on the inside.
Words are hard to describe how delicious this dish was.
Not only the meat was good, the brussels sprouts and apples were also full of flavor.
I love this pork belly even more than the paella!
我超愛超愛這道菜 – 脆皮燉豬肉，
One more picture because I love it so much.
We had a great dinner at Catal Restaurant.
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere.
After dinner, we also had tons of fun walking around Downtown Disney.
